It’s time for some open and honest talk about addictions on planet Earth. Having had firsthand experience with his own alcoholism some 40 years ago, Steve has a view on addiction in general that comes not only from the group but from his own life experience. He wants everyone to know that he has more questions than answers, but it’s time to start a new conversation out in the open.

Recently Steve lost his wife Barbara to alcoholism. In her last days, she gave him permission to tell some of her story in an effort to help others understand what this really is and offer ways to deal with it. It’s the fact that we do not talk about it that creates a lot of the stigma around a disease that affects 1 in 10 people…and all those who love them.  There is nothing to be ashamed of here. We can do better.

Steve will present most of this class out of channel, with a closing channel from the group where they will challenge all of us to think again.
